Sarah-Lou Francis

An aspiring adventurer, Sarah-Lou shares her home with her family three near the historic town of Arundel. Born & raised in Buckinghamshire, the move to West Sussex was a return home for her husband, but she still considers herself a relative newbie to the area, and she’s on a mission to discover more of all it has to offer…

She finds adventure in trying anything new, and is currently relishing the opportunity to learn & seek out the next chapter in her creative journey. She loves nothing more than spending time with family & friends, making, taking photographs, exploring new and favourite places, and renovating her home. She has rather an obsession with vintage chairs & mid-century design!

Sarah-Lou shares her love of all things home+made+family+adventure+lifestyle over on her blog.

A few questions about nice things...

Who do you most admire?

Strong, creative people who have the courage to follow their own path, their dreams, and who are doing what they love & find that elusive balance between work & life.

What are your favourite possessions?

A Robert Sawyers painting given to me by Grandmother, my Harry Bertoia side chair, my daughter’s drawings & our photographs.

Tell us about your perfect day or weekend...

A lazy morning. Off to wander the shops & streets of a historic market town, a fresh & delicious lunch, then a hearty walk before gathering to feast with friends and curl up by the fire to natter into the night.

What makes you happiest?

Sunshine, the scent after rain, dancing in our kitchen, my daughter’s insatiable curiosity, adventure, having hands that want to make, quiet pottering days together, and loud busy gatherings full of food & friends.

What would you like to do in the future?

Firstly, figure out my next chapter, and then road trip the world in a vintage Land Cruiser!
